Child Safety Standards

Katkee has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to everything on Katkee: Stories, Highlights, comments, profiles and direct messages.

Katkee is for adults only

  • You must be 18 or older to use Katkee. Sign-up asks for your date of birth, and the server refuses anyone under 18.
  • If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.
  • Anyone can report an account they believe belongs to someone under 18.

What is never allowed

  • Any content that sexualizes a child, including images, videos, drawings, text and AI-generated material.
  • Grooming: contacting or befriending a child, or someone believed to be a child, for sexual purposes.
  • Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images of a child.
  • Trafficking, or advertising or soliciting children for any sexual purpose.
  • Sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material anywhere on or off Katkee.

How to report

  1. In the app, tap More (the three dots) on any profile, Story, comment or message, then Report.
  2. Choose Nudity or sexual content, or May be under 18 if the person may be a child, and add any details.
  3. You can also block the account at once, so it can't contact you.

You can also email our child safety contact at grievance@katkee.com. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. In India, you can also report at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, cybercrime.gov.in, or call 1930.

What we do

  • Reviewed with priority: reports about sexual content and possible minors are among the first our moderators review.
  • Removal: content that breaks these standards is removed, and the account responsible is permanently banned.
  • Reporting to the authorities: we report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant authorities, including India's law enforcement agencies as required by the POCSO Act, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.
  • Preserving evidence: we keep the reported material and account details securely, as long as the law requires, to support investigations, and we cooperate with valid law enforcement requests.
  • Never shared further: removed material is never shown to anyone except as required to report it.
